North Shore Home: Bathroom Tour

Welcome to part two of our North Shore Home Tour! On today's tour we will visit the master bath along with the two powder rooms and the three full bathrooms all with their own unique style and story to tell. These spaces have come together in perfect harmony in collaboration with Project Manager Pamela Ghents of Jato Builders Inc.!

Throughout the tour you will also notice all of the unique custom doors that I created. Each door lends itself to the next, yet they all add their own touch by changing minor details from one to the next

Soft, Elegant Blues in the Powder Room

A crowd favorite located right outside of the laundry room and directly in view from the ‘Relaxing Den,’ I designed a vanity in Benjamin Moore’s Wetherburn’s Blue to give this powder room a one-of-a-kind look and feel. To maintain the elegant vibe that is carried throughout this home, I incorporated a defining backsplash out of Cambria’s White Cliff stone that pairs oh so nicely with the pre-chosen Kohler Gilded Meadow Sink and Kohler Kallista faucet.

Some other subtle details that give depth and definition to the space are the chrome feet on the legs of the vanity and a small peek of the soft, yet striking, chandelier and its texturizing shadows.

Elegant but Moody

Powder room two – or as I like to call it, the ‘Great Room Powder Room’ because of its location in the home – consisted of a custom vanity in Benjamin Moore’s Notre Dame with defining details that would compliment the pre-chosen items like the sink, faucet, and light fixture. After seeing that the homeowner had chosen Kohler’s Empress Bouquet sink for this powder room, I was inspired to draw on the golden reflections of the sun on the nearby Long Island Sound and decided to accent this bathroom with that same gold in the vanity legs and, of course, the hardware.

Master Bath Retreat ~ with details galore

Note ~ the coordinating closet door!

Taking inspiration from the pattern on the imported tile floor, I incorporated it into the bathroom on the towers that flank the Beechwood vanity. I kept the same proportion as the pattern on the floor to make the design consistent and refined. Behind this die cut pattern, I lined the door frame with the antique mirror that is used throughout the house. Coastal elegance at its best!

The hall that bridges the sleeping area to the master bath is flanked by “his and her” closets. For the “her” closet, I created a custom door that utilizes the same tile pattern, but this time enlarging the scale! Thanks Pam for your input! Cambria's Myddelton is the perfect soft and smoothing touch for this space.

En suite Bathroom

The custom-designed bedroom doors and coordinating barn door to the bathroom complete the coastal story in this space with their wave-like pattern. Inside I used white inset cabinetry in a traditional layout. It's the Cambria Queen Ann top that once again ties it all together!

From the Kallista chrome faucets to the Rocky Mountain high polished hardware, this room maintains a crisp and elegant vibe.

Blush and Brushed Guest Bath

This guest bath’s open-shelf vanity in the perfect shade of blush is brought to life by Cambria’s Brittanica Gold countertop and perfectly paired with the white, textured Kohler sink and gold Kallista faucets.

Masculine Mopboard

I loved using this shade of off-black to achieve a mascaline feeling for this next guest bath. In keeping with the masculine look, I used Rocky Mountain’s darkest finish with a slight polish on the hardware. Topping this expansive vanity with Cambria’s Swanbridge creates the perfect contrast against the dark cabinetry and Kallista faucets.

In addition to the several white doors around the home that we designed, I also had the honor of creating this custom work of art that serves as the gateway to this Coastal Elegant home!

I hope you enjoyed the tour, felt our passion for what we do, and enjoyed our collaboration with Jato Building Contractors.
